Baptism is the immersion of the believer (in Christ) into water, whereby (s)he obeys Christ’s command and sets forth his/her identification with Christ in the death, burial and resurrection. Baptism at Bay Park is intended for an individual who already believes in Jesus Christ as Saviour and desires to follow obediently. Apart from genuine faith baptism will no longer be an act of Christian obedience and will be stripped of its significance.
