We are excited to once again partner with Bethel Church to host three weeks of virtual guest speakers giving answers to our honest questions.

January 23Andy Steiger – Fake News: The Coconut Dilemma, Why the Media Has Lost Our Trust?

When it comes to the truth about what’s happening in our world, we look to the media. Yet, we are seeing a discouraging trend — more and more people are losing their trust in it. Between politicization, algorithms, and more, many feel that they can no longer rely on the media to deliver us the truth. Is reporting a fact enough? What does this say about the way we should approach Scripture? Are these questions even related? Andy Steiger will discuss this trend.

January 30 – Andy Bannister – Beast or Masterpiece – What does it Mean to Be Human?

What is a human being? Are we just the stuff of which we’re made? A random collection of animals? A slightly more highly evolved primate? These are all answers we hear in our culture — but what are the implications of reducing humanity this way? And what, uniquely, does the Christian faith have to answer by way of an answer to the question “What does it mean to be human?”

February 6 – Andy Bannister – The Pursuit of Happiness – Why Do We Look For Joy in All the Wrong Places?

We live in a world that encourages us to find ultimate happiness in career, money, academic success, or our performance. But the evidence is clear that this isn’t working: more and more of us find ourselves stressed, anxious, or wondering “is there more to life than the 9-to-5”? In this talk, Andy will explore if there’s a better way to find true happiness, peace, and security.
