Paul Gazdik

Senior Pastor

Paul grew up in Quebec, the last of six kids. His parents were missionary church planters who taught and modelled the love and grace of Jesus to him. Though Paul embraced Jesus as Saviour as a young teen, the idea of being a pastor was not on his list of future career possibilities. While finishing up a Bachelors in Business Administration at Ottawa U God birthed in Paul a passion for serving God’s people and sharing Christ with his neighbours. Ottawa is also where Paul and Loralyn met and were married in 1988.

Paul and Loralyn have two grown kids and two grandkids. They’ve pastored in Quebec and Ontario. Paul has a Masters of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. Favourite verse: May the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him (Rom 15:13). Paul loves skiing, hiking, boating and wrenching (his dad affectionately called him his “grease monkey”).

Doug Connelly

Pastor of Spiritual Formation

Doug grew up in the province of Quebec where the church was the centre of his family life. He received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour at the age of eleven, and after his first year of university was baptized. Doug trained to be a teacher and had a rewarding career in Kingston teaching special needs children. His childhood sweetheart, Willa, and he have four wonderful children, and are blessed to have eleven precious grandchildren. Shortly after retiring from teaching Doug received a M.Div. degree from Tyndale Seminary. Doug’s interest in life-long learning prompted him to further his studies and complete a Doctor of Ministry degree in Spiritual Formation from Northwest Baptist Seminary. He has served as senior pastor at churches in British Columbia, Quebec and Ontario.

Collecting Canadian antique tins, hiking, and relaxing with a a cup of black coffee are his favourite pastimes.

Rachel Mallory

Worship Pastor

Rachel grew up in Muskoka and in 2010, moved to Kingston to pursue music and education degrees at Queen’s University. While she trusted in Jesus as a young child, Rachel never expected to be employed at a local church. However, after attending and volunteering at Bay Park for 5 years, she joined the staff team to help facilitate the music, outreach and communication.

On a regular day, you might find Rachel half way through 10 books, out for a run or creating new recipes in her kitchen.

Mykah Ramautarsingh

Part-Time Student Ministries Director

Mykah joined the Bay Park family in 2021, making the trek to Kingston with his wife Brittany from the Niagara Region. He grew up in a Christian family, and that fostered his passion and love for Jesus. Having recommitted his life to Christ in his early teens, God called Mykah to ministry in Grade 11, which led him to Tyndale University where he graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor’s of Religious Education that’s focused in Pastoral Ministry.

Besides his passion for youth to enter into a fruitful and growing relationship with Christ, Mykah also loves diving into almost anything car-related, socializing and making people laugh, exploring theology, finding the next best restaurant, traveling, reading, music, and thanking God for making his wife so tolerant of him.

Tara McIlwain

Children’s Ministry Director

Tara and her husband, Stephen, moved to Kingston in 2017 and have been a part of the Bay Park family ever since! In 2020, Declan decided to join their family as a beautiful yet very early and very little precious gift.  Learning about and believing in Jesus during elementary school, God has put in her heart a love to share Jesus with children. To follow this calling, Tara completed both her Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry and became a Registered Early Childhood Educator. Tara is passionate about how faith and child development converge. She is excited to serve the Bay Park children as they both grow in height and in Spiritual depth.

Tara loves being surrounded by people laughing, good food, and watching documentaries.  When not at work, you might find her browsing Home Sense for the perfect mug, or dreaming about warm summer days.
